Flight operations have recommenced at Scotland's primary international airport after a major ATC system failure halted all operations.

Every arrival and departure were halted due to an technical fault that was reported at approximately 08:30.

A number of travelers reported being stuck in jets at the stand as the outage continued.

Operations Restart with Ongoing Delays

A statement indicated at 10:40 that services were back online, and thanked passengers for their "understanding and cooperation".

However, significant disruption are anticipated to continue throughout the day. Flights to London Gatwick, Bristol, Amsterdam and Frankfurt have been called off, with numerous other services facing hold-ups.

A spokesperson had initially projected that a significant number of movements could be impacted.
