British boxer Anthony Joshua Released from Medical Facility in Lagos Following Tragic Road Accident
The British boxer Anthony Joshua has left the medical facility, local government spokespeople stated on late Wednesday. The athlete was part of a serious road collision outside Lagos on the 29th of December, a horrific crash that took the lives of two of his valued colleagues.
Healing from Light Wounds
The boxer had been receiving medical attention while recovering from minor injuries, his promoter stated earlier on Monday. The commissioner for information and strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, announced via a post on X that Joshua was judged healthy enough to leave and heal privately.
“Joshua and his mother were at the mortuary in Lagos this afternoon to offer their condolences to his two departed friends as they were being readied to be sent home,” the official remarked.
Remembering the Victims
The victims of the crash were named as Latif Ayodele, a fitness coach, and Sina Ghami, a strength and conditioning coach. Omotoso added that the athlete was heartbroken and overcome with emotion over the loss of his two close friends.”
The news of his discharge comes as the boxing community offered condolences for the star in the wake of the devastating accident.
