Jet Transporting US Defense Secretary Forced to Land in UK Due to Crack in Cockpit Window

A jet ferrying the US defense secretary was compelled to make an unplanned landing in the Britain on Wednesday following a fracture was found in the plane's windshield, per an official statement which confirmed that Hegseth was safe.

"The plane landed following standard protocol and everyone onboard, among them Pete Hegseth, is unharmed," an official representative commented in a public statement.

Hegseth was returning from a quick journey to the city of Brussels at the time.

This incident is not the first time that a US military aircraft transporting a high-ranking official has encountered equipment failures.

Months ago, a American military jet ferrying Secretary of State Marco Rubio to the German city of Munich was required to return to the US capital after encountering a mechanical problem.
