The First Game Pass Additions of 2026 Show Xbox Isn't Giving Up Yet.
Everywhere you go, enthusiasts continue to ring the funeral bells for the green team. The platform was lately surpassed in sales by a lesser-known competitor. Dedicated Xbox communities are now publishing content regarding Sony's platform unprecedentedly. Last year proved to be complete chaos for the tech giant's gaming arm. Yet, based exclusively on what's coming to Game Pass in 2026, it is apparent that Xbox continues to plan to engage players with strong games on its key platform.
The Immediate Additions
A pair of titles that are immediately available at this moment, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, aren't the showstoppers. Rather, it's what is coming to Game Pass soon that's deserving of attention.
Upcoming Headline Games
Come mid-January, the subscription service will add the often-overlooked Star Wars Outlaws, an open-world game that deviates from typical Ubisoft design with a cosmic robbery tale. An additional significant inclusion is Resident Evil Village and its giant Lady Dimitrescu, which our 2021 review called "the perfect cocktail of terror and combat."
Compelling Indie Titles
Yet, the less-hyped additions coming to Game Pass soon deserve recognition. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, the criminally overlooked roguelike that's a blast to play, arrives January 7th — and it's worth experiencing regardless of whether you played the first Lost in Random game.
The game set in a ruined Britain from last year could captivate you within just a quarter of an hour.
Atomfall, the stealth survival game by the developers behind Sniper Elite, also warrants your attention. Game Pass Ultimate subscribers also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to get excited about.
A Well-Rounded Collection
In summary, this isn't a revolutionary update to Game Pass, and they are also not massive exclusive blockbusters that are the sole reason for the service in the first place. However, this batch of games are rock solid. It offers a healthy blend of past releases that passed you by and relatively recent releases that failed to receive the spotlight they warranted upon launch — rendering them ideal prospects to experience a revival on Game Pass.
Hope you're ready to part ways with The Grinch Christmas Adventures, though.
